Police report that Hussain Yusaf Mohammed Greene of Westbury Road, St Michael who was accompanied by his girlfriend and three children, had attempted to retrieve a ball from the sea. As he made his way back to the shore, he got into difficulties and his girlfriend and a woman at the beach had to assist him out of the water. They attempted to resuscitate Greene while an ambulance was summoned. He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but was later pronounced dead. Police are continuing investigations.
