Man sent to prison after breaking bond

His penchant for being a “nuisance” has landed a 26-year-old unemployment man in Dodds for the next four weeks.

The time was imposed on Lamar Alexander Blackman, of Hinkson Gap, Hindsbury Road, St Michael after he breached a bond imposed on him earlier this year.

The breaching of the bond, which had a $750 forthwith fine, was triggered when Blackman, pleaded guilty to entering the premises of A& A Auto Parts after having been forbidden to do so by the occupier on February 26.

“I aint got no money or nothing so but I never went to jail or nothing so,” he told Magistrate Douglas Frederick who asked him why he kept venturing onto people’s property.

“You know when a man reach a man age, you have to provide for your own self. I use to wash vans and ZRs and things but since this corona thing people don’t want their vehicle wash because they were carrying one person,” the convict said.

After perusing Blackman’s criminal record the magistrate stated that he had a “fixation” for such acts and it might be best to remand him to the Psychiatric Hospital to be assessed.

“I don’t want to go to the Psychiatric Hospital I will go up to prison instead,” Blackman said before he was convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the charge.
