Pumping from the Ionics Desalination Plant has been stopped temporarily to allow the repair work on this large-sized main to be completed. This stoppage has in turn caused the stations at Trents and Apes Hill to be offline. The Authority’s facility at Lancaster is also presently offline. Customers in parts of St. Michael and St. James and districts connected to the above mentioned stations will experience low water pressure or outages until the work Is complete. The Authority will make every effort to assist residents in the affected districts via tanker in the interim and customers will be kept updated on the progress of the work. Personnel are also today addressing reports of suspected bursts on mains in Dash Gap, Eagle Hall, St. Michael; Spencers and Chapel, St. Philip; Windsor Tenantry, St. George and Stewart Hill in St. John.
