What started out as a routine trip with a familiar traveller from Rock Dundo to Bridgetown ended on a tragic note when the passenger died on board his bus around 7:30 a.m. Police have since identified the deceased as a 56-year-old Guyanese man but have withheld his name. “We have withheld the release of the name pending notification of his family members and we do not have an address for him at this stage,” Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss said. Wilson recounted that the passenger was a familiar face on the route. “This morning like normal we were on the road, the man catch we up at St Silas, get in the van good like normal. When we get into Baxters Road, I see he start stiffening up,” said Wilson who said he immediately tried to get help for the distressed passenger. Inspector Inniss said police responded and medical personnel were summoned. “The passenger was pronounced dead by medical personnel on board the minibus,” the police spokesman said.
