Caribbean forwards Jacob Hazel and Junior Morias both bagged braces as their English clubs romped to victory on Tuesday night.

Hazel, a 28-year-old St Kitts and Nevis international, netted in the 14th and 29th minutes as Darlington defeated hosts Spennymoor Town 3-1 at Brewery Field in the English FA Trophy.

Jamaican Morias’ double in the same competition came in the 12th and 24th minutes as Dagenham & Redbridge walloped visitors Uxbridge 5-1 at the Chigwell Construction Stadium, the 27-year-old striker taking his goal tally for the campaign to 10.

In another trophy game, Bermuda international Kole Hall, back in the side after injury, scored in the 87th minute after coming on as a second-half substitute to send Chester FC’s game at Farsley Celtic to penalties after the game ended 2-2.

But Hall, a 24-year-old forward, missed what proved to be the final spot-kick as the hosts advanced to the next round after winning 5-4 on penalties at Throstle Nest.

Antigua and Barbuda international Reece Beckles, a 27-year-old striker, secured victory for lowly Cheshunt in the sixth-tier National League South with the game’s only goal, an eighth-minute penalty which sank leaders Ebbsfleet United 1-0.

Three goals in the opening 28 minutes set up a convincing win for Darlington — nicknamed the Quakers — to earn a last-32 away tie at Southend United.

Jack Lambert’s 13th goal of the season gave the Quakers an 11th-minute lead.

Three minutes later, it was 2-0. Lambert won the ball near his own penalty area, played the ball inside for Adriano Moke, who played a one-two with Kaine Felix to give him space on the right to play the ball into the Spennymoor penalty area for Mark Beck to play back into the path of Hazel, who buried a left-foot shot past goalkeeper Gio Bellagambi.

The third goal arrived when the Moors defence could not get the ball away out of their own area, and Felix’s effort took a big deflection and dropped for Hazel, who squeezed the ball into the net from six yards at the near post.

Hazel nearly got his hat trick, when the Moors defence allowed a long clearance to bounce over them, and his lob went over Bellagambi, but a defender managed to clear the ball off the line.

Dagenham & Redbridge — nicknamed the Daggers — earned a fourth-round tie against fellow fifth-tier National League side Maidenhead United after routing Uxbridge with Morias scoring his side’s second and third goals.

His first came after Josh Hare drove up the pitch and his pass found Morias free, the Jamaican making no mistake in front of goal.

Terrific vision by Omar Mussa, who scored the eighth-minute opener, saw Morias making a forward run and executed a perfect pass to send the striker through before he netted with a right-footed effort.

Ebbsfleet fell to their first away defeat of the season as they were undone by an early Cheshunt penalty on a first-ever visit to Theobalds Lane, Beckles blasting the penalty past goalkeeper Mark Cousins.

The breakthrough came after Cousins made an excellent stretching save to push away a shot from St Kitts and Nevis forward Rowan Liburd, but the ball bounced wide to Zack Newton, who was fouled by Joe Martin. Liburd later drew another save from Cousins.

Ebbsfleet’s two changes included the return from illness of Dominic Poleon, a forward of St Lucian descent. (CMC)
