Man, 50, dies in road accident

A St Michael man died following an accident along the Barrow Section of the ABC highway at its junction with Friendship Road, St Michael that occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Monday.

He is Learie Neil Carasco, 50, of #2 Hill Crest Avenue, Fort George Heights, who was riding a motorcycle.

According to police, the deceased was involved in a collision with a car driven by a 58-year-old male of Parish Land, Christ Church whose name has not been disclosed.

Police said both vehicles were travelling south along the highway when they collided.

Carasco was pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.

Fire officials at the accident scene on Monday night.
