It was an accomplishment worthy of a celebration.

Two-time double crown champions Good Shepherd Primary held a motorcade on Thursday to toast the recent achievements of their athletes at the National Primary School Athletic Championships (NAPSAC).

On Monday, Good Shepherd captured both the boysโ€™ and girlsโ€™ titles in the Andrea Blackett Zone for the second successive year.

The motorcade began at the schoolโ€™s Fitts Village, St James compound and continued through the nearby communities.

Physical education teacher, Jamar Layne told Barbados TODAY the schoolโ€™s impressive feat was deserving of a celebration.

โ€œRight now we are having a motorcade because we have done the double in the Andrea Blackett Zone of the NAPSAC championships and we are just celebrating in this motorcade.

โ€œWeโ€™re celebrating, chanting, cheering and having a good time. As you can see the residents in the community are coming out also and supporting as well,โ€ he said.

Approximately 200 of the schoolโ€™s 240 students on the roll took part in the motorcade along with 20 teachers and auxillary staff.
