Coming off the successful staging in its inaugural event last year, the fund-raising concert is on again at Frank Collymore Hall on Sunday, October 20 at 6 p.m. The event, which is staged to raise financial support for patients battling cancer, is produced by Trumpetboy Entertainment which specialises in music creation and managerial services. Husband-and-wife Kevin Moore and Kelita Moore operate the group. The duo stages Love Divine II in honour of Sylvian Moore who was Kevin’s father and the organist at Selah Methodist church for 50 years and a former music teacher at Speightstown Boy’s School before he died from prostate cancer in 2020. The concept of the event is to honour his legacy and give back to the community. All proceeds from the show go towards the Cancer Support Services. Last year the event gave the services over $14,000. Kevin explained that staging the event was something extremely dear to his heart given what he experienced with his dad. “Many in our community are not fortunate to have the financial or emotional support needed throughout the ordeal, that’s why we chose to put on this event in October – the month that focuses on cancer awareness.
