The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Vector Control Unit will target mosquito breeding sites in St Peter and St James when it conducts its fogging exercise this week.

The Unit will target communities in St Peter, for the first two days of the week.

On Monday the team will fog Air View Road No.1, Air View Road No. 2, Collins, Boscobelle, Date Tree Hill Drive, Hurley’s Close, Johnson Road, Hurley’s Road, Carrington Road, Mount No. 1, Mount No. 2, and surrounding areas.
The next day Indian Ground Road, Orunmila Drive, Four Hill, Lonesome Hill, and Hibiscus Drive will be sprayed.
Fogging for the remainder of the week will be concentrated in St James.
The team will go into St. Silas Heights No. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Waterhall Terrace No. 2, and Westmoreland, on Wednesday.

They will then visit Sion Hill Tenantry, Halls Road, Rock Dundo, Bakers Avenue, Bakers Rise, South Drive, Bakers Woods, Upper Carlton No. 1, Upper Carlton No. 2, and environs on Thursday.

The fogging exercise for the week will conclude on Friday in Bakers, Sion Hill, Turtleback Ridge, Sion Hill Terrace No. 1, Sion Hill Terrace No. 2, and Waterhall Terrace No. 1.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.

Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
