The Barbados Police Service said personnel from the Bridgetown Division have been deployed to the scene as investigations continue. No further details were provided on the incident. As a result, several roads in the area have been closed to vehicular traffic. Hinks Street has been closed from its junction with Mortuary Road, between Fishermanโs Corner and the Immigration buildings, to its junction with Prince Alfred Street. Cowell Street has also been closed. Traffic diversions have been put in place, with motorists travelling along the Princess Alice Highway towards Hinks Street required to turn left onto Mortuary Road. Vehicles approaching from Wharf Road are being diverted right onto Prince Alfred Street. Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area where possible and to use alternative routes.
