It was an all-star line-up of the best gospel singers from around the world. Noel Robinson, out of the UK, opened his performance by encouraging the followers to know that even in this season where everything is shut down God is not. He then went into his first song, which was Calling Out Your Name. Accompanying his beautiful, smooth voice was an electric acoustic guitar which was a very lovely addition to his set. His second number was Intentional by Travis Greene, which was very much appreciated at such a time. It spoke to a God who never fails. Noel also delivered one of his original songs called Heโs A Faithful God. Many worshippers popped up during his performance with Hallelujah in the comments and Praise God with the hands clasped emoticon. Pat Barrettโs Build My Life was Noelโs next song, and it carried a very soothing tone. Itโs a song that puts lifeโs obstacles into perspective. Some have even commented on the original song saying that it has instantly โcured anxiety and depression.โ Noelโs fingers rode out the strings and chords amazingly coming down to the end of the delivery. Nicholas Tinto commented, saying that the music was truly touching his spirit. You Might Be Interested In Crystal Beckles-Holder, 2nd runner up in regional competition Lights, camera, flash! Canโt stop his roll Noel then performed his original Rain, which was a beautiful take on the supremacy of who God is. The final number was the Song of Revival. During this set, he invited the audience to sing along with him. Vanessa Briggs out of Trinidad and Tobago opened with No Sweeter Name and was accompanied by singers Akilah Landeau and Rebekah Matthews. The girls sang as they sat perched on high chairs wearing all white, like angels from above. Playing the piano was musician Daniel Hamilton. Wide As The Sky was the second number. This song spoke about Jesus Christ taking his place as creator of the universe. Your Blood, the final song on Briggsโ list, was a powerful one about how Christ conquered death. It speaks to freedom from depression and how the blood saves hopeless souls. Worship leader Jaicko Lawrence started his set with a cover of Hillsongโs Oceans; his voice was in fine form as he worshiped with closed eyes and raised palms. Pastor and worship leader, Russell Blackman, performed next, backed by a full band and backup singers. They performed a powerful medley of worship songs. Osby Berry from Ohio performed So Will I beautifully. He did a cover of this song which went viral prior to his performance. Osby also performed Mercy Chinwoโs Excess Love and in keeping with his Instagram videos, he was very harmonious. Osby was backed by a full band and singers. Up next and making a regional partnership was Jai Symone from Barbados and Trinidadโs Joshua Ali who performed Do It Again by Elevation Worship. This link up was simply amazing! It carried into the next song, You Are God, which was not set to be released. Singer Timothy Reddick out of the US was awesome as he sang Yahweh Be Praised. His vocals were very much on point as his tones matched the piano keys. He also did a rendition of Hallelujah which seemed to have touched the very souls of those watching based on the comment section. One person who said they were not a Christian even shared with Carol Toppin that they felt moved to give their life over to God because of the way Timothy worshipped. The powerful voice of John Yarde filled the airwaves as he took over the stage to sing All Hail the King which was beautifully done. Closing the curtains was Trinidadian songster Sherwin Gardner, who started with We No Back Down. He then went on to another original, Because of You, and then his final song, I Worship You. Sherwin truly worshipped in his performance and brought the hype as always. (MR) Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
