Local NewsNews Social media post on new school year fake by Barbados Today 16/07/2020 written by Barbados Today Updated by Asminnie Moonsammy 16/07/2020 1 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 325 The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training has advised that it has not yet issued information on the start of the new school year, and a social media post, which claims otherwise, is false. The post, which erroneously states that the Ministry has released the 2020- 2021 academic calendar, goes on to wrongly give the start and end dates for the school year, up to Term Three. Persons are reminded that any public information coming from the Ministry will be announced by the Minister of Education or ministry officials, and will be disseminated through official channels such as the Barbados Government Information Service.
