Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector (ag) Rodney Inniss said, on Friday July 17 the 41-year-old Immigration Officer went to the customs facility at the Grantley Adams International Airport to collect a package. The package was searched by the Customs Enforcement in his presence, contained in the package were two air purifiers, a search of those purifiers revealed thirteen packages of cannabis weighing 10.5 kgs. Inniss said Beckles was charged with: Possession of a controlled drug to with cannabis, trafficking, intent to supply and importation.
