Silver Hill shooting victim identified

Police have identified the victim of yesterday’s shooting at Silver Hill, Christ Church, as 50-year-old Henderson Oneale Burke of Reservoir Road, Ashton Hall, St Peter.

At 3:20 p.m. yesterday, police in the Southern Division responded to the shooting incident, which left Burke with several gunshot wounds, mainly to his stomach.

This incident happened along Silver Hill Road, Christ Church.

Burke was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Police say Burke remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Investigations are continuing.
