Atherley-Ikechi was giving an update on the status of the decisions coming out of the confidentiality hearing and the procedures and issues hearing that will be at the centre of the main rate review, a date for which is still to be confirmed. “We are in the process of issuing decisions. The first one that we have to do is the confidentiality one. That should go to the panel sometime this week and we hope that will be issued by the end of the week. Then the other ones will follow,” the FTC chief told Barbados TODAY. “We are working on the procedural one…the interim one we are working on as well. The issues [decision] should be resolved pretty soon,” she pointed out. The procedural ruling will determine how the upcoming rate hearing will be conducted and the issues decision will settle aspects of the hearing that will take centrestage.
