Workers at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus have ended their strike and returned to work, on the condition that they receive payments due to them by today.

This includes a lump sum of $1 500 covering the period from August 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023 and back pay from a three per cent salary increase for the August 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024 period, which will be reflected in their February payroll.

Barbados Workers’ Union General Secretary Toni Moore announced that the resolution was reached overnight following intense negotiations between campus administration and the union. (RG)
