Samuel Bowen, a veteran educator with over two decades of experience, has been confirmed as the new deputy principal of Barbados Community College (BCC), a position he has acted in since April 2023.
The BCC said that Bowen, a former senior tutor in the division of technology, has been overseeing various aspects of the institution’s operations. These include academic staff development, facility management, and programme evaluation.
Bowen’s academic credentials include a bachelor of arts degree in architectural studies with honours and a diploma in education. He also holds a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, which he obtained as a Fulbright Scholar.
