I chose this area because I do believe education is the key to generating generational wealth. My intention is not to leave anyone behind, so I am trying to give everyone the opportunity to have the tools they would need to lift themselves up,” he added. A wide range of items including books, pens, pencils, crayons, paints, and other essential school materials were collected during the drive on September 14. Volunteers worked tirelessly to sort, pack, and distribute the supplies to ensure the children could start the school year with the tools required to succeed. “Local businesses played a crucial role in the success of this initiative by supplying stationery or making monetary contributions. Their commitment to giving back highlights the strong sense of community that defines Lower Estate and surrounding communities,” Craigg said. “We are therefore incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our local community. This drive not only demonstrates the compassion and generosity of our residents and business community, but also underscores the importance of coming together to support our children and their education. We are proud to have been able to make a positive impact and help alleviate some of the financial burdens that families face as they prepare for the school year.” (PR) Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
