The BMS says severe thunderstorm activity is expected across those areas. According to the BMS, lighting activity at or near your location could result in power outages if lightning strikes power utility infrastructure. Residents are reminded that lightning strikes can be life-threatening. The public is encouraged to monitor the DEM and GIS websites and their respective social media pages along with the local media networks for further information. Meanwhile, the BMS has also warned that heavy to intense showers across northern and central districts are possible on Sunday.
