One person was reportedly injured in a three vehicle accident at Tweedside Road, St Michael today.
The accident involved an ambulance and two other vehicles.
Alcohol, Drugs, bad Driving, and carelessness are all causes of Road Traffic Accidents. Stop, and think before getting behind the wheel of any vehicle.
Agreed, Pauline Taitt…..some people do not leave space whilst travelling at speed between their vehicle and the vehicle in front….They leave no stopping distance…..Ive pulled over too many times for this type of driving !! 🙁
That ambulance would have to be trying to get through the traffic. People does hear the siren and dare not move. That’s all it could be
My partner, Maxie Taylor collapsed January 2nd while he was with his daughter. She called for an ambulance and none available. She had to call men off the street to help get him in her car to drive him to the hospital. Sadly, he did not survive. The lack of ambulances is so wrong.
Diane Money may she RIP. .. but what does this article have to do with your announcement?
It should be mandatory for all Ambulance and other emergency drivers undergo training in Defensive Driving. Ambulance drivers should also be taught the basics of acoustics. A blaring siren may be heard by the driver, but due to prevailing weather and surrounding conditions ,may not be heard by other drivers, especially those upwind, and flashing lights may become obscured to oncoming drivers by nearby high-sided vehicles.
