Fabian Rohan Springer, of 1st Avenue Accommodation Road, Bush Hall, St Michael had been on remand since December 2018 after appearing before Magistrate Douglas Frederick accused of statutory rape. Springer and a woman are jointly charged with having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl sometime between September 1 and 30, 2017 – an indictable offence which could only be heard in the High Court. The 37-year-old is also charged with using a computer to send an indecent and obscene electronic communication intended to cause annoyance, inconvenience, distress or anxiety to the said 14-year-old.
