The Reed Street, St Michael resident is accused of robbing Amal Smith of a cellular phone, three gold chains, a pendant and a gold ring worth $1,995 on August 6, 2018. He appeared before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court for the first time last month after the complainant allegedly identified him in a line-up. When he appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick this afternoon he made a bail application “under any condition” claiming that his girlfriend was seven months pregnant and he needed to help her. However, the prosecution again reiterated its objection to bail for the teen. “I can’t warn anyone about a situation that I don’t know about. I have been wrongfully accused,” Sonny claimed before he told the magistrate that his mother was in court to sign bail on his behalf.
