Local NewsNews Easter Greetings from NCF by Barbados Today 12/04/2020 written by Barbados Today Updated by Asminnie Moonsammy 12/04/2020 1 min read A+A- Reset FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 185 Today is Easter Sunday on the Christian calendar; for those who see it as just another Sunday, it is still the day when we all relax a bit more, spend more time with family, catch up with friends, cook and share a meal. Sunday is the day for fellowship, family, friendship and food. But on this Sunday hundreds of health caregivers and emergency services personnel will enjoy no such rest and rexlation. Some will be totally engaged in making sure those afflicted with COVID-19 receive the medical attention they so urgently need; yet others will be taking care of other patients and their illnesses and disorders. Police officers, firefighters and soldiers will be on duty maintaining law and order. Chances are, bus drivers sanitation workers, pharmacists and others will have to work long, hard hours as well, so that we can beat this pandemic and return to our regular routines as soon as possible. And so, I had the craaazy idea that I would ask some people we all know and admire to make a video of themselves performing their favourite hymn or spiritually uplifting song as a tribute to our COVID-19 warriors on this Easter Sunday. ย ย Love, light, joy and grace always.
