UPDATE: Photojournalist among two killed at Bishop’s Courts

A Nation photojournalist was killed this afternoon by an unknown assailant while on assignment on the heavily wooded grounds of Bishop’s Courts, the derelict former residence of the Anglican Church bishop.

Police Public Relations Officer Inspector (ag) Rodney Inniss told reporters moments ago that the second body was that of a contract worker at the site.

Barbados TODAY understands that workers who were removing asbestos may have disturbed a vagrant who allegedly carried out the attack.

Police have not released further details but officers cordoned off the entrance to the building’s driveway now overgrown by shrubs and fallen trees.

Scores of media workers have gathered at the site.
