Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 422 Two men who allegedly stole 269 electronic tablets from the Barbados Revenue Authority appeared in court today and were granted bail in the sum of $60,000 each. Maintenance officer Adrian Dacosta Quintyne, 53, of Alleyne’s Lane, Passage Road, St Michael and vault attendant Javier Jedidiah Anthony Codrington, 23, of Apartment No. 2 Kingsland Heights, Christ Church are accused of stealing the devices total cost $82, 310 – property of the Crown – between December 17, 2017 and November 8, 2019. The accused were not required to plead to the indictable charge when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today. There were no objections to bail but Quintyne, who is represented by attorneys-at-law Andrew Pilgrim, Q.C. and Martie Garnes, must now report to the District ‘A’ Police Station every Wednesday before 6 p.m. His co-accused, who is represented by lawyers Kristin Turton and Akeem Rowe, also has to report on Wednesdays but to the Oistins Police Station and before noon. Both men need to present identification when they report. The accused were also ordered to surrender their travel documents and must now apply to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court for permission whenever they are desirous of leaving the jurisdiction. The theft case against Quintyne and Codrington will continue on December 10.
