A flash-flood warning is issued when flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than 6 hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.

Some sections of Barbados recorded around an inch (25 mm) of rainfall overnight as a tropical wave affected the island. Unsettled conditions are expected to continue throughout today and into tonight. As a result, we can expect to see frequent burst of moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms across Barbados.
