The menu: The Yelluh Meat team have tweaked tradition to come up with recipes that make the most of this starchy superfood, and you don’t have to be an aficionado to appreciate the results. Here, breadfruits are fire-roasted, then split and used as a bowl. They’re then heaped with delicious toppings that range from lentil/veg to buljol (saltfish), mincemeat, pigtail and tuna.
The outer char suffuses them with a flavour that tastes like heaven on a grill. On Thursdays, thin breadfruit slices are made into taco shells instead. It’s genius!
