A woman was shot and injured in St Michael last night, police say.

Just after 8 pm, police responded to a report of a shooting incident at an establishment located along Tweedside Road.

Police said the shooting happened during an attempted robbery, where a woman was shot in her leg by a man. She went to QEH by private vehicle.

Police are investigating.
