This brings the island’s total number of confirmed cases to 203. They are an asymptomatic 19-year-old Jamaican who arrived on a CAL flight on September 26; an asymptomatic 29-year-old Barbadian who arrived on Virgin Atlantic on October 3, as well as a 42-year-old Guyanese who arrived on September 25, on a Trans Guyana flight. She is symptomatic with headaches and sinus drip. Due to these cases, there are now 14 persons in isolation. A total of 544 tests were conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, the highest number ever performed on any given day. Due to the volume, the results, which should have been published on Tuesday, October 6, were delayed. The tests included persons identified through contact tracing linked to the most recent cluster, as well as students and staff of The Ellerslie School.Testing related to the school is ongoing.
