AgricultureLocal News Are we really water-scarce? by Barbados Today 08/10/2020 written by Barbados Today 08/10/2020 1 min read A+A- Reset FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 257 Life can throw up many ironies, some amusing, some not very funny at all. Such was the situation at Free Hill, St Michael today. While water gushed freely for hours from a burst pipe at Connell Road, Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael, some residents at another area in Free Hill had to depend on a water truck to get some of the precious commodity that was wasting away for hours elsewhere. But that situation was not the most ridiculous scenario. At Church Village, St Philip Trenton Thompson and other residents complained of a burst pipe that has been flowing for about eight months. Thompson said employees from the Barbados Water Authority visited the area, looked at the pipe, left and it has remained in the same state since. Efforts to reach relevant authorities at the Barbados Water Authority late this evening for an explanation were unsuccessful.
