A Barbados TODAY team who visited Rascal’s Water Park Inc. at Brandons Beach, St Michael, was told that work on the island’s latest attraction should be completed by Friday morning. Team leader at Rascal’s, Robert Myers told Barbados TODAY the project was finally reaching completion after five years. “We finally got it and I am very proud to present the largest water park in the Caribbean. It is the largest aqua fun park in the world. It is German-designed. When the tourists come back they can share it as well,” he said. Myers said the water park and accompanying Rascals Beach Bar & Restaurant were created for people of all ages to enjoy. “First and foremost, it’s a people’s park…. It is exclusive fun for everyone. We are making it affordable. Locals can get their discounts; we do family memberships. Old, young, colleges, schools, company motivation, we look forward to having a wonderful partnership,” he added. It is great for the economy. It is great for local tourism,” he said, adding that it was the right location to attract cruise passengers and was really “the perfect spot for a water park”. Thomas added that the setup of the park allows for a fun time for people of all ages. “It features two different sides— a junior line on the inside and then an outside ocean line for all ages. That will be lots of fun. A park this size will be absolutely fantastic not only for Barbados but for Brandons Beach and the operators,” the Aqua Fun spokesman told Barbados TODAY.
