Peter Hinds lost his unoccupied two-bedroom wooden house while his residence, a wall upstairs and downstairs house, was extensively damaged. Mark Cadogan of Upper Carlton, St James, owned the third house, a wall and board structure. Three tenders and 10 officers from the Barbados Fire Service responded and extinguished the fire around 12 a.m. In a separate incident at Weston, St James, fire destroyed the home of a family of 12.
