The cases included samples dating back to February 9. There were 54 recoveries which brought the number of active cases to 811. The 39 new cases comprised 24 women and 15 men. Seven of them had already been at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility undergoing assessment to determine whether their positive PCR test result showed that they were in fact newly positive, or whether they had COVID in the past and were no longer infectious. The 32 other cases were Barbadians. The total number of persons diagnosed as positive at Her Majestyโs Prisons Dodds remained at 363. Of course these, 361 recovered and the remaining two inmates are included in the active cases. The number of deaths from COVID-19 remained at 29. The public health laboratory has so far completed 118,636 tests. There were 2,432 persons vaccinated on Wednesday as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. To date, a total of 9,115 vaccinations have been administered โ 4,937 women and 4,178 men.
