It might be cultural or it might be a third-world thing. It might also have to do with feeding the ignorance which many die-hard supporters have in their heads about politicians and the pedestal on which they place them.

I am saying all that to say this – Barbadian politicians never accept when they are wrong, apologise and move on. Is it only me or are there others out there who see that Bajan politicians are perfect to every fault.

Millions of taxpayers’ dollars were wasted on Greenland, has the minister responsible for that ever apologised?

My furniture was damaged by rain in the mid-2000s when the NHC send some bogus contractor to remove the asbestos roofing and he messed up.

Nobody ever apologised to me before I leave down there, or any of the other people in Kensington Lodge to my knowledge.

A little fellow died in an open well in the Pine that should have been dealt with long before the incident. I do not remember any apology. Government’s slackness last year led to the surge in COVID-19.

No government official has apologised for that yet.

A youngster lost his life up Coverley in a car accident related to that protrusion in the road. Did anyone hear an apology from the Minister of Transport and Works?

Freundel Stuart slept on the job from 2010 to 2018, has anyone heard him apologise for that? Mia Mottley now do nonsense in Deacons Farm and making excuses rather than apologise and choose better people.

Politicians in the USA, England and elsewhere make grave mistakes in office and some apologise and some even resign if they are caught. But in Barbsdos, our politicians are perfect. They do everything right.

Mistakes are always the fault of someone else.

God help us.
