According to police, the man in his early 40s went to the area to visit a friend when he was attacked by a man who was hiding in a bushy area. The assailant fired several shots, striking him multiple times. The victim drove himself to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private car. Investigations are continuing into this matter. Anyone with information that can assist police investigations into the shooting is asked to call the Holetown Police Station at 419-1700, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
