A young man was left nursing gunshot injuries on Monday after a shooting incident at Gall Hill, Christ Church, the fourth since Saturday night when four people were injured in three separate incidents in St Michael.

Gall Hill residents, who did not wish to reveal their identity, said the young man was shot by an assailant outside the Varn Blue Bar Variety just after 7 a.m.

“I woke up and was about to read my Bible when I heard the gunshots. I hit the ground and then called the police,” said one resident.

Others said the assailant fled the scene through a track leaving his slippers in the mud.

The victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by a private vehicle.

Detectives remain mum on their investigations into last weekend’s shooting incidents.

A 54-year-old woman suffered injuries to her right thigh and right buttock and a 56-year-old man to his right thigh at Gills Road around 8:05 p.m.

A 22-year-old male was shot at Mason Hall Street in his chest about 8:33 p.m. and two minutes later at Hutson Alley, a young man, whose age has not been disclosed, was shot in the right foot about 8:35 p.m. (SD)
