Gall Hill residents, who did not wish to reveal their identity, said the young man was shot by an assailant outside the Varn Blue Bar Variety just after 7 a.m. “I woke up and was about to read my Bible when I heard the gunshots. I hit the ground and then called the police,” said one resident. Others said the assailant fled the scene through a track leaving his slippers in the mud. The victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by a private vehicle. Detectives remain mum on their investigations into last weekend’s shooting incidents.
