Best: We experienced hurricane-force winds for just over an hour and the eye of Elsa passed just south of island. Barbados recorded 4-7 inches of rainfall.

Abrahams: The bulk of the damage from Hurricane Elsa happened to uninsured houses. Government has not been able to assign a dollar value for the damage as assessments are ongoing.

Padmore: SSA will be providing trucks to collect the bulk waste left in the aftermath of Hurricane Elsa.

Roger Blackman: As of noon today, power was restored to 1368 Barbados Light and Power customers. 20,000 people are still without power.

The government has partnered with the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association and other organisations to provide accommodation for displaced persons.
BHTA – 10 hotels have provided 108 self-contained rooms
Sons of God Apostolic – 18 units
