Though he placed sixth overall in the heat and did not advance to the next round, Barbados’ top male swimmer clipped the record he set back in Mach at the International Senior Cup. The new national record now stands at 1:48.09. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Danielle Titus made her Olympic debut this morning in the 100-metre backstroke. Titus finished the heat at 1:4.53.
