The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1,100 tests on Sunday, August 1. There are currently 118 persons in isolation. A total of 4,417 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,145 females and 2,272 males) have been recorded since the start of the pandemic in March last year. The virus has claimed 48 lives. The number of tests carried out by the public health laboratory is 220,508. There have been 99,921 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines administered under the National Vaccination Programme, while 76,546 people (28.2 per cent of the population) have received second doses and are fully vaccinated.
