Nelson Street man charged with two murders

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit have made a significant breakthrough, with recent investigations, and have charged a 29-year-old man in connection with two murders – one committed in July 2020 and the other earlier this month.

Demetrico Ricardo Layne, of Grahams Alley, Nelson Street, St Michael has been charged with the July 27, 2020 murder of Olivia Cecelia Carter and the August 2, 2021 murder of Odith Nicole Henriques.

The accused man is scheduled to appear before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today.
