The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1,364 tests on Wednesday, August 18. There are 137 people in isolation. Barbados has recorded 4,609 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,245 females and 2,364 males) since March last year. The death toll from the virus is 48. The public health laboratory has carried out a total of 244,284 tests. As part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 101,370 first doses of the vaccine have been administered, and 87,710 persons (32.4 per cent of the population) have received second doses and are fully vaccinated.
