The facility conducted 1,979 tests on Monday, August 30. The new cases consist of 51 persons who are 18 years old and over, and 13 individuals under the age of 18. The number of people in isolation is 339. There have been 5,032 confirmed cases of the virus (2,473 females and 2,559 males) recorded since the start of the pandemic in March last year. Fifty persons have died from the virus. The laboratory has, to date, carried out 262,358 tests. Public health officials have administered 109,905 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines, while 94,361 people, or 34.8 per cent of the population, have received second doses and are, therefore, fully vaccinated.
