The facility conducted 1,303 tests on Monday, September 6. The new positives comprise 48 people who are 18 years old and over, 20 under the age of 18, and one individual whose age is unknown. There are 569 persons in isolation. Since March 2020, Barbados has recorded 5,486 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,719 females and 2,767 males). The death toll from the virus is 51. The public health laboratory has, to date, carried out 275,511 tests. First doses were administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 number 116,546. Meanwhile, 95,661 persons, or 35.3 per cent of the population, have received second doses of the vaccines and are now fully vaccinated.
