The number of tests conducted on Friday, September 10, was 1,338. There are currently 719 people in isolation. Of the positive cases, 69 persons were 18 years old and over, while 16 were under age 18. A 66-year-old Barbadian woman is the 52nd person to die from COVID-19. She passed away on Friday, at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility. She was unvaccinated. Barbados has recorded 5,844 confirmed COVID-19 cases – 2,912 females and 2,932 males – since March 2020. The public health laboratory has carried out 281,191 tests since February last year. A total of 119,702 persons have received first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines under the National Vaccination Programme. To date, 96,307 second doses have been administered.
