Taxi operator Orlando Lorenzo Harewood is on $500 bail after appearing in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court accused of breaching the COVID-19 curfew.

The 31-year-old from Parkinson Road, Grazettes, St Michael is alleged to have contravened Paragraph 3 Subparagraph (1) of the Emergency Management (COVID-19) (Curfew) (No.17) Directive 2021 by leaving his home between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., on October 3, when he was not a member of an essential service or a person with an emergency.

He appeared before Acting Magistrate Krystal Delaney and was granted bail which he secured with one surety.

The case against him was transferred to the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court for hearing on October 12.
