Of these, 16 were males (76 per cent). The ages of those persons who died from the viral illness ranged from 46 to 91, with the median age being 76. Additionally, underlying illnesses or comorbidities were found in 86 per cent of the deceased, with 13 of them (62 per cent) having more than one comorbidity. The two main comorbidities reported were diabetes and hypertension. The others were cancer, kidney disease and dementia. Seventeen (81 per cent) of the deceased were unvaccinated.
