Nightingale Children’s Village on Thursday received a box of hams from Clean Freaks Barbados.

The company’s owner, Undwye Jean-Baptiste, said as a father, he wanted to ensure that he could bring a smile to the children’s faces for the holidays.

“Our company decided to present a box of hams to the Nightingale Children’s Village,” Jean-Baptiste said.

“We decided that we always wanted to be giving back and, as a father, what better way to give back but to bring smiles to the faces of children. Growing up, I did not have much but the one thing I had was the love from my family, friends and neighbours who ensured that I had a great Christmas.”

According to Jean-Baptiste, he wanted to ensure that despite the economic hardships facing everyone at this time, that each child could have a delicious meal complete with the traditional baked ham.

Receiving the donation was House Parent at Sherry’s Cottage Janet Jones.

She thanked Clean Freaks Barbados for the hams, which were distributed to all of the cottages on the Nightingale Children’s Village Black Rock, St Michael compound as well as the Marina Brewster Centre at Farrs, St Peter. (LG/PR)
