Kraigg Brathwaite has now joined Shamarh Brooks in scoring two centuries for Barbados Pride against Jamaica Scorpions since the Professional Cricket League first-class Championship started in 2014-2015.

The 29-year-old Brathwaite, the Barbados and West Indies Test captain made a memorable 276 in a total of 521 for eight declared on the third day at Kensington Oval yesterday.

Barbados completed a 10-wicket win today.

Brathwaite’s 276 was the highest score by a Barbadian against Jamaica, beating the 275 by Wilfred Farmer, also at Kensington Oval 70 years. His other hundred against Jamaica was 119 at Kensington in 2015.

Brooks, who has also captained Barbados, scored 100 in 2015 at Sabina Park, and 166 at Kensington four years ago.

In the period under review, three other Barbadians – Justin Greaves, Jonathan Carter and Shayne Moseley –have each hit a century.

Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican boasts of the best match figures by a Barbadian. He took eight for 89 and ended with a match haul of 12 for 116 at the 3Ws Oval in 2018 in a dramatic 41-run win.

Set 107 for victory, Jamaica tumbled for 65 in 18 overs.

Warrican also took eight for 72 in 2015 at Sabina Park.
