Today the nine-member jury, consisting of two men and five women – was selected when the matter involving Karl Nokosi Mapp, of Thorpes Cottage, St George was called before Justice Randall Worrell. Mapp is set to go on trial on a two-count indictment of unlawfully causing serious bodily harm to Jamar Callender on September 11, 2013 with intent to do him serious bodily harm or to maim, disfigure or disable him. He is also alleged of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting serious bodily harm on Callender. He has pleaded not guilty. The accused is being represented by attorney-at-law Errol Niles while Senior Crown Counsel Olivia Davis is prosecuting the case before the No. 2 Supreme Court.
