Barbados logs 118 new COVID-19 cases

There were 118 new COVID-19 cases (58 females and 60 males) recorded on Tuesday, March 15, from the 949 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The cases comprised 26 persons under the age of 18, and 92 who were 18 years and older.
The number of people in isolation facilities was 45, while 1,085 were in home isolation.
As at March 15, the virus had claimed 326 lives.
The public health laboratory has carried out 600,328 tests since February 2020, and recorded 57,348 COVID-19 cases (26,582 males and 30,766 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 160,703 (70.4 per cent of the eligible population).  The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 150,471 (55.5 per cent of the total population or 65.9 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
